Alberni District Co-op Community Investment Fund
February 2023 (Presentation July 2023)

We would like to thank the applicants who participated in our 2023 - ADC Community Investment Fund. From their applications, our team learned so much about the wonderful programs in the valley and amazing initiatives that support our community.

We were elated to host a cheque presentation with the successful 2023 recipients at our July 19th - Summer Appreciation Day at our Johnston Road C-Store and Gas Bar! It was a wonderful community event that included our local 93.3 The PEAK3 and Alberni Valley News for the announcement! Along with our community friends Megan from Port Alberni Neighborhood Welcome and the Team from Alberni Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to help us celebrate! Our successful applicants were recognized in a presentation involving our Board of Directors and Alberni District Co-op Management Team.

The 2023 successful applicants included;

• Portal Players Dramatic Society - Awarded $5,000
• Maritime Heritage Society - Awarded $5,000
• Port Alberni Shelter Society - Awarded $5,000
• Special Olympics (Port Alberni) - Awarded $5,000
• Port Alberni Backpack Program Society — Awarded $7,500
• Wholesome Meals on Wheels Association — Awarded $10,000

We would like to thank the volunteers and organizations that do and support the amazing work in our community.
Since 1928, we have invested in our community with various donation and fundraiser events. We care about our families, friends, neighbors, and the communities where we live, work and play.

In that 95yrs, we've had the pleasure of supporting many organizations; but we wanted to strive for more! Our Community Investment Fund started in 2022 with great success. We are elated for 2023 successful recipients and are excited for the 2024 ADC Community Investment Fund.
