The Alberni District Co-op has been supporting its community since its incorporation in 1928! We care about the communities where we live, work and play. For nearly 100yrs we have stayed locally invested and community minded. We strive to support as many local events and organizations as possible through our local sponsorship programs.

If you are a local registered non-profit or charitable organization looking for large project funding to support charitable projects; we’d love to hear more on how you're bettering our community!

ADC Community Investment Fund

Are you looking for a one-time donation for a local community project or event? Utilize our online form to apply for monetary or in-kind donation to help support local projects and events.

Projects ineligible for funding for the ADC CIF include: • Sports related events(e.g., golf tournaments) • Marketing sponsorship requests • Third party fundraising requests • Projects located outside of the Alberni Valley and surrounding business area • Religious or politically affiliated organizations • Capital funding requests (see FCL’s Co-op Community Spaces Program) We ask these groups utilize our Community Sponsorships and Donation Form. (See Below)

Community Sponsorships and Donations (Open Year Round):

Alberni Co-op provides sponsorships to organizations and events serving our local Alberni Valley and Alberni Clayquot Regional District Community. This includes youth events, community events, ceremonies etc.

Such as, AVCYN Family Events, Golf Charity Classic, Funtastic, Alberni Fall Fair, Five Acre Shaker, Salmon Festival
Along with many local sports groups, local non-profits, charities, and organizations bettering our community.

How our Submission Form Works:

Submit an application through our online form, powered by our friends at Do Some Good.
All requests must be made using the online form to be considered.

Applications are accepted from February —
Submissions are reviewed by our Board of Directors and the recipients will be chosen at the discretion of Alberni District Co-op.

Past support of an organization or event does not guarantee future support. All groups and organizations must re-apply for donations and sponsorships each year.

More about the Alberni District Co-op Community Investment Fund

In 2022, we were ecstatic to introduce our ADC Community Investment Fund in addition to our Community Donation and Sponsorship Program to support larger community programs and organizations that provide a necessary service in improving the quality of life within our community.

Since 2022 the ADC Community Investment Fund has provided over $100,000 to organizations benefiting the Alberni Valley Community.

We had an exceptional time at our ADC Community Investment Celebration and Cheque presentation on Monday: July 28th, 2025. The following organizations and groups were the successful 2025 ADC CIF recipients;

✨Highland Dancers Association - $700
✨Port Alberni Salmon Festival - $5,000

✨Wholesome Meals on Wheels $10,000

Over the past three years over $100,000 has been donated back to local organizations that support the betterment of our Alberni Valley Community. We look forward to seeing what 2026 holds for organizations and their upcoming projects.
