Western Nations partnership with Tseshaht Market —
Fuelled by Alberni District Co-op

Alberni District Co-op is proud to partner with Tseshaht First Nation and announce the opening of their new Western Nations location, at the Tseshaht Market in Port Alberni.

Conveniently located on the Pacific Rim highway, this Western Nations gas bar is part of a growing network of independent, locally owned, Indigenous gas bars that are modern, unique, relevant to all customers and respectful of Indigenous culture.

The Western Nations brand was developed by Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) in consultation with Indigenous leaders and communities across Western Canada as a means to provide an opportunity for First Nations communities to own and operate their own fuel stations with access to Co-op’s quality fuel products and local service and support.

Indigenous communities own and operate the Western Nations locations while accessing the supply chain and support of the Co-op and its experience in building and operating gas bar facilities.

The gas bar at Tseshaht Market has been updated with Western Nations branding and investments have also been made to reconstruct the canopy infrastructure, add five pay-at-the-pump fuel dispensers and new lighting to illuminate the space.

This gas bar will be proudly fuelled by Alberni District Co-op, offering Top Tier certified gasoline and High Performance Diesel.
